Howard Webb to complete ultimate refereeing double of championsleague and Wold Cup finals

Howard Webb completed the ultimate refereeing double as he was appointed to take charge of the World Cup final last night. The former South Yorkshire Copper will become the first referee to whistle the World Cup Final and Champions league final in the when he referees Sunday's showdown between Spain and Holland. Webb and his assistants, Darren Cann and Mike Mullarkey, were also in control in the clash between Inter Milan and Bayern Munich during the Champions league final. They will become the fourth English trio to oversee the worlds biggest game. Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore said: ''we see the hard work and are confident they will bring the match to a good end. Hints from the Fifa say that this will be the last match with this scheme of assistants, referring to the two extra assistants they allready had during the UEFA Cup.

In my opinion Howard Webb the Master of Refereeing. Not only because of the discissions he makes during the games but also his charisma contributes to the respect of the viewers, players and football boards. Overall, I think that English referees are the best in the world because they let the game go on and only blow their whistle when neccesary. When it comes to the two extra assistants I think a very good job is done here. I am pleeing for this since I watch football. I would rather see video assitance but this is already a big step in the right direction.
